Bear Valley Adventure Company at 1 Bear Valley Rd is an absolute gem for outdoor enthusiasts! I visited recently and was blown away by the variety of activities they offer. In the winter, their cross-country skiing trails are beautifully groomed and well-marked, making it a perfect destination for both beginners and experienced skiers. The tubing and sledding areas are a blast for families, too! The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to help with rentals or provide trail recommendations. The on-site store is well-stocked with everything you might need—gear, snacks, and even some cozy clothing. I also loved grabbing a bite at Reba’s Meadow Cafe, which was the perfect spot to warm up with some coffee and a snack. Whether you’re visiting in winter or summer, this place has something for everyone. It’s well-maintained, convenient (with a 24/7 gas station!), and surrounded by breathtaking scenery. I can’t wait to come back for summer biking and kayaking! Highly recommend!

Bear Valley Adventure Company - A Family Fun Outdoor Escape! Bear Valley Adventure Company at 1 Bear Valley Rd is an absolute must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy the great outdoors, especially families with kids! Our recent trip was fantastic, and this place truly has something for everyone. During our visit, we were impressed by the sheer variety of activities available. The kids had an absolute blast on the sledding and tubing hills, which felt incredibly safe and well-marked. We easily got our money's worth in the 2-hour slot, with the kids wanting to go down again and again! For those with their own gear, this place is a particularly economical option for snow fun. Beyond the thrills, the scenery is breathtaking. Even just being there and taking in the views is a treat. We also appreciated the friendly and knowledgeable staff, who were always ready to assist and made the whole experience even better. The on-site store is a lifesaver, stocked with everything you might need, and Reba’s Meadow Cafe was the perfect cozy spot to warm up with a drink and a snack. It's clear that Bear Valley Adventure Company is well-maintained and convenient, even boasting a 24/7 gas station nearby. While parking in the main lot can get busy, there's additional parking close by, which is good to know. Whether you're into cross-country skiing in the winter (we heard the trails are beautifully groomed!) or looking forward to summer activities like biking and kayaking, this place has it all. It's an easy drive from the Bay Area (around 3 hours from San Jose), making it a perfect day trip or weekend getaway. Highly recommend Bear Valley Adventure Company for a memorable outdoor adventure for the whole family! We can't wait to return and explore what it has to offer in the warmer months.

A stunningly beautiful place in both winter and summer! In this resort you will find everything! Sports, recreation and entertainment! If you arrived and forgot your jacket or gloves at home, you can purchase them here. There is a store here with a large selection of everything. Friendly staff will help you choose equipment for any winter sport to rent or buy. And in the forest itself there is a fairy-tale house in which there is a small restaurant. For many years now we have been renting a house in Arnold to ski at this resort! Thank you guys!

My family had a fantastic time on a day trip here. They didn't have sleds but there was tubing, and we had a blast. The employees were also extremely nice. Even the food at the lodge was surprisingly decent. We really enjoyed our pizzas, especially the sausage. You'd have to go early, because parking fills up, and then you'll have to cross the road to get to the part with the tubing.

We've been here many times for tubing and XC skiing. Enjoy the friendly atmosphere and skiing to the warming hut for a hot beverage. It was great that we can walk from the condo in the village and don't have to worry about parking.

Great tubing, gets pretty crowded around 11 on but not bad for a holiday week. The 5 min walk to the little lunch hut on a groomed trail alongside the cross country trail is scenic and quiet. Turkey pesto panini was amazing!! Chili and burgers too. Perfect half day adventure. Mountain people are the best people.
